Let's look at this realistically.

An open letter to Helena Jaczek, Minister of Community and Social Services

Your ministry's web site contains sections titled: Our commitment to service excellence and How we help..., under About the ministry.

In December of 2009, I requested help, from your Ministry, in order to prevent becoming homeless. Since then, I've been "stonewalled", lied to, lied about, had my privacy violated several times, been falsely accused of a criminal offence, been forced on to the street, been deprived of medical treatments and what "support" I had, had benefits delayed without cause, had benefits terminated because of being homeless. Details can be found in the articles: Ontario Disability "Support" Program and Mental health matters, posted on Not, I think, what any rational person would consider "service excellence" and, as my Gran' pa would've put it: about as much "help" as a rubber crutch, in a polio ward.

An anomaly? Not judging from the numerous complaints I've heard and seen posted, on the Internet. Of greater concern, though, are the complaints that aren't heard or seen. Kimberly Rogers is neither the first nor last person your ministry's caused the death of; just an example.

Isn't your allowing this to continue a violation of your Hippocratic Oath to: "never do harm to anyone"?
